Evolving Our Global Network with Intentionality: SVP’s Next Chapter
SVP started with a simple but innovative idea: working together in communities to make a significant impact. Nearly three decades later, we are building on that dream. Today, we are reshaping our network through a collaborative lens, so we can continue leading a global movement rooted in collective transformational change.
While our affiliates tackle unique challenges within their local communities, we recognize how deeply these issues intersect. Inequity is a widespread problem impacting all our affiliates, and a coordinated approach is essential to our work. In response, we are transitioning to a more unified affiliate model that fosters a more collaborative global community, enabling us to pool resources, share best practices, and face complex issues head-on.
As we continue to build this strong network, our affiliates will collectively help design the next chapter of SVP. We’ve heard from SVP partners that they long for a sense of community outside their regional affiliates, yearning for more opportunities to connect with their SVP family across the globe. Based on this direct affiliate feedback, we are rolling out a series of initiatives to help shape the future of SVP.
We will:
- Create a task force this Fall to address our needs and understand commonalities between the geographic regions we operate within.
- Conduct an affiliate survey to gather information on key challenges and successes.
- Convene in Spring 2025, allowing our global affiliates and partners to collaborate in person at an SVP Summit.
- Publish a state of the network report to share our survey findings and affiliate successes.
We are excited to embark on this transformative journey. Through our collective efforts, we can create meaningful and lasting change, following the same values that SVP was founded on.
